Afrodita Hydra Jewelry began in 2002 with a simple but powerful decision: to leave the predictable path and create something of our own.
After studying jewelry and working within the world of fine luxury at Cartier, our founder chose to step away from the security of an established career and follow a very different calling — designing jewelry with freedom, individuality and soul.
What followed was not simply the creation of a jewelry brand, but a way of life.
Travel, nature, different cultures and a wonderfully nomadic existence became part of the creative process. From Mediterranean islands to faraway cities, landscapes, people and experiences have continually found their way into the shapes, textures and stories behind our collections.
Over the years, Afrodita Hydra has grown organically. A small team of women now works behind the scenes across sales, communication, digital content and the many details that allow the creative heart of the brand to remain exactly where it belongs: in designing, creating and making jewelry.
Our philosophy has always remained simple.
We believe jewelry should be beautiful, but also effortless to wear. It should feel special without needing a special occasion. And it should carry something more than decoration — a little story, a feeling, a memory, a piece of somewhere.
Afrodita Hydra Jewelry has travelled almost as much as we have.
Our pieces have been exhibited and sold around the world, from Miami, Los Angeles and London to Sicily, Berlin, Ibiza, Mallorca, New Zealand, Australia, Bogotá and Santiago, among many other places.
And the journey continues.
Today, we create limited-edition collections, allowing each collection to remain personal, distinctive and connected to the inspiration that brought it to life.
